Similar to makeup contouring, hair contouring involves strategically placing light and dark strands to visually enhance your client’s unique face shape.
Our Root Shadows are perfect for this, transitioning seamlessly from deeper hues at the roots to lighter tones at the tips. They can be used strategically for contouring depending on the client’s face shape.

Round and square shaped face

For round and square face shapes, the strands are placed to create a slimmer profile.

Do this by incorporating dark accents at the roots and around the face, while layering lighter strands around ear level.

Long shaped face

Oval face shapes can be artfully reshaped to appear slightly wider and less elongated with a skilful blend of light and dark hues. Using a dark shade at the hairline is key to achieving this effect.
